Why Microcast?

Do you ever get stuck in a rut? You know? Those mind-numbing gray days where every day passes as a dull blur. You wake up, eat, work, eat, work, go home and repeat. Sometimes, it seems like you’ve got to wake up, but then you realize you are awake. You’re living life like you’re waiting for something to happen and you live for the weekends, the only days where you seem to escape the prison that is your life. That means that nearly two-thirds of your life is just fighting to inject some energy into a void. What a dreary outlook, right?

Fortunately, that’s not the case for me! I am pretty happy and enjoy my time, hobbies, and activities. But if that were the case for you, there’s things to liven it up. Try microcasting. Microcasting is a creative outlet where you can simply talk feeling reassured that people out there will dedicate time to listening to you. You are able to help others, interact with your listeners, crack jokes, and listen to those fascinating foreign accents! If you want to go that route, you might even be able to make a little money off of it. It is sure to break the boredom.

But let’s say you’re feeling to shy or don’t want to expend the effort to make your own microcast. Does that make you an outcast, kicked to the curb? No, not by a long shot! You are welcome to listen to your favorite ‘casters and reply to their episodes. Want to have some lighthearted fun? Try channels like guessthatsong, StartAStory, or whichisworse. Feeling in the mood for thought medicine? Try spokenword, nostupidquestions, or BibleStudies. Lastly, if you are feeling the need for a warm human voice to answer you and listening ears, try the dailycheckin. There you can “check in” with the usual crowd of friendly people and tell them how you feel, what’s up with you, or rant and vent a bit. To be honest, there’s a bit for everyone and I love it all!
